Different Specifications Of Iae And Ge Engine Tooling Stands

GE engine tooling is a leading supplier of jet and aircraft engines extensively used in the aircraft industry. The company is experiencing high level production records for its commercial jet engines. The popularity is driven after the manufacturing of the best-selling CFM56 engines from CFM International. The CFM56 engine program has been used for the production of many engines including the Boeing 737 and the Airbus A320 family
The aircraft engine stands are designed, developed and tested according to the Engine OEM specifications. The size of engine stands differs from minor to medium to large, based on the requirement of specific engines. The range varies from smallest to largest of engines, such as CFM56, GP7200, GE90, or Trent 900 Engine. All these engines are fully bootstrappable and are featured with several other options to select from. Such features allow you to create your own product depending on your needs. Each product has its own individual functionality and characteristics. All engines are designed using an Elastomeric shock isolation system, swivel casters and shock absorbing feature.

IAE Engine Tooling stands are certified and approved. A complete range of CMF56 engine stands ia available. Some of them are CFM56-2, CFM56-3, CFM56-5, CFM56-7, CFM56-5 A, CFM56-5 B & CFM56-5 C Engine Stands. These engine transportation stands are perfect for all Trent family of engines. The CFM56-3 engine stands are designed in such a way that they offer complete compatibility to the engines. They are narrow track in design and consist of rubber anti vibration mounts. They are also being fitted with av wheels and tow bars, in case required. Here are some of the standard features of CFM56-3 engine stands such as economical, compatible with all engines, increased life expectancy, reduced risk against rust damage and so on.

A list of hardware tools used in IAE engine tooling includes Bootstrap Capable Cradle, Tow Bars, Heavy Duty Flip Up Casters, Swivel Lock, Brake, Front & Rear Tow Points and many other equipments. These stands are structured with Gold Anodized Mounts & Caster Hardware in order to reduce rust build-up. The structure is coated with high gloss skydrol resistant paint to improve its appearance for a longer period. Only stainless cables and hardware are used to make it rust free for its improved life. Customized Nylon Holders are also used for mounting to reduce the damage against uncertain happenings. The shock mounted fork pockets are also used for handling purposes.

The JT9D Engine Stands: Based On Boeing Tooling Applications

With the advancement in technology, not only clients,  but also companies are becoming conscious regarding the quality concern. Not only in some sectors, but quality has become a major concern in all industries especially in aerospace. This crucial thing has forced manufacturers to maintain new standards so that they can easily meet customers' challenges. The companies, like GE, IAE, Boeing Tooling, are some of the great leaders dealing in the manufacturing practices. These companies are among the top aircraft engine manufacturers and suppliers. They deal with the majority of commercial aircraft units. These companies have adapted the trends for manufacturing quality tools and other parts.

The JT9D engine is a type of high-bypass two-spool turbofan which was the first jet engine used to power a wide-body airliner. The Boeing tools such as the Boeing 747-100 was the initial application of this engine type. At that time, the JT9D was chosen by Boeing to power the 747. The JT9D-3, is a famous type which was structured using nickel and titanium alloys.

The engine was featured with the following equipments such as:
  • a three-stage low-pressure compressor
  • a single-stage fan
  • an eleven-stage high-pressure compressor
  • a two-stage high-pressure turbine
  • a four-stage low-pressure turbine
  • an Annular combustion chamber
  • the fuel type is Aviation Kerosene typically Jet A-1
  • an oil system consists of pressure spray with scavenge

The above mentioned are the general components that are featured in JT9D-7 series. The general characteristics include demographic configuration, such as length, weight, diameter, etc. The length of the engine is 3,260 mm, whereas the diameter is 2,340 mm. The dry weight of the engine is 3,905 kg or you can say its 8,608 lb. The JT9D Family of engines consist of many different models such as JT9D-3A, JT9D-7, JT9D-20, JT9D-7Q/7Q3, JT9D-59A/70A, JT9D-7R4D/D1, JT9D-7R4G2 and JT9D-7R4H1. Most of these engines use Boeing tools as their applications.

Along with JT9D, there also exists a related development named PW4000. It is considered the successor to the JT9D engine series. In comparison to JT9D, it offers greater reliability. The PW4000 has been used earlier to power the Boeing 747-400, 767-200/300, Airbus A310-300, McDonnell Douglas MD-11 aircraft and A300-600 aircraft. The JT9D/PW4000 Aircraft Engine Stands are capable of handling all aircraft engines having the same series. These stands are available with or without retractable casters. Also, they are structured with lightweight configuration.

The best part of engine stands featured with Boeing tooling applications is that they have adjustable mounts and also priced economically. They are equipped in such a manner that allows Towbars acceptance at any time. Moreover, these engine stands are equipped with proper isolation blocks.
