CFM56-5 Engine Stands Are Necessary

Engine stands are supported equipments used to hold aircraft engines. They are made of superior quality material to make it rust proof. A variety of aircraft engine stands are available in the market to choose from. The engines are equipped with gold anodized mounts in order to reduce rust build up. All types of CFM56-5 engine stands are available, providing numerous benefits. The stands are specially featured with tow bars, shock mounted pockets, customized nylon holders, casters, swivel lock, brake and so on. The engine stands provide customized support to the CFM56 engines. Let us have a brief overview of the CFM56 engine family.

The CFM International CFM56 series refers to a specialized family of high-bypass turbofan aircraft engines manufactured by CFM International. As, you all know that CFMI is a joint venture that has a 50-50 share of SNECMA and GE. Thus, its all parts are also manufactured by each of the companies. Both companies have paid much attention towards producing the components. GE took the responsibility for manufacturing combustor, high pressure turbine and compressor. On the other hand, gearbox, low pressure turbine, exhaust, and fan were manufactured by the SNECMA. Undoubtedly, CFM engines popular demand in the aviation industry.

The CFM56 engines are assembled by Ohio, GE and SNECMA, but are solely marketed by CFMI. Also, there are CFM56-5 engine stands available to provide customized support to the engines. In 1974, it ran first and is now considered the most common turbo aircraft engines in the whole world. It is usually paired on the Boeing 737 airliner and, also replaced the Pratt & Whitney JT3D engines on many different KC-135 Stratotankers. The company has added a specific CFM56-5 engine series in the CFM engine family. The CFM56-5 refers to a series specifically designed for the Airbus aircraft. It has a very wide thrust ranging in between 22,000 and 34,000 lbf.

The CFM56-5 engine series has three different sub-types, such as CFM56-5A, CFM56-5B and CFM56-5C. The CFM56-5C is the only engine utilized to pair with the Airbus A340-200 and -300 series. The other engines such as CFM56-5A and 5B are fitted to Airbus A320 series aircraft. The CFM56-5A series is the first one in the family of CFM56-5 series. The series is specially designed to power the Airbus A320 family varying from short-to-medium range. The CFM56-5A Engine Stand is specially manufactured to support and hold the same. Another CFM56-5B series, it was originally designed to power the A321. In the CFM56 engine family, CFM56-5C is considered the most powerful aircraft engine. It has powered the Airbus' long-range A340-200 and -300 airliners.
